HUMBLING GREATNESS

Sometimes we seek greatness in big actions but maybe it's in the small deeds done with a great heart that greatness actually lies. Maybe it’s in the deeds done to those without the ability to return the favour. Sometimes it probably in the diligent servant who is faithful and loyal to his Master, his Mission, his Maker God. Ecclesiastes 9:10 says whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might... Came across this verse and thought about a friend who does all he does dutifully and with joy..no matter what the task is, he does with all his might. It was quite challenging for me and thought I should share.

Back to the topic. Take a look around. Who inspires you the most? Who believes in you when everyone else thinks otherwise? Who sees your potential and pushes you on to exploit it? Who is your greatest cheerleader? Who still believes in you even when you fall sometimes? Who stands with you no matter the circumstance – good or bad? If you think about it critically, these maybe not necessarily be your usual list of the most influential people you know. But rather, people who have touched you heart in such a special way. People who challenge you every day. People who unknowingly inspire you to better each day. These are the great people in our lives.

So it’s clear that the people who mean the most to us are those who touched our lives in a special way, a great way. It may not have been in a loud and conspicuous manner, however so they did. In their humble nature, they taught you the true meaning of humility. With their diligent hands, they worked hard to set a good example to you. By smiling and rejoicing, they taught you true joy in the Lord never runs dry. Through their constant words of wisdom gathered over the years, they taught you what is right and the importance of service.

John Ngei Nzuma, I salute you! Thank you so much for being a teacher, friend, mentor and a God-fearing man who was willing to serve and evangelize the Word of God to others. I thank God for the times we shared together and I know that I do not speak for myself only but the entire church family. Thank you for setting a good example and serving faithfully.

Now it is to us to share God’s love around and ensure that we make a difference in someone’s life. John 4:19 We love because he first loved us.


 
PS: Today I read 2 Timothy 4 and felt inspired to share it with someone cause it blessed and challenged me. Verse 2: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 
Verse 17-18: But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth. The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen.

Begin with Jesus

When the enemy keeps on reminding you of your past, choose to listen to the Voice of Truth that tells you a different story. Here's my story..

For all the times he's told me I'm not good enough, I'm not worthy, I'm don't belong, I now know better that Jesus has loved me just the way I am and His love is so much greater.


For all the times I didn't try, I held back, I shyed away from my destiny, I now break loose of those chains and press on towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.


For all the times I feared, didn't speak out, failed to do something, I now put my trust in the Lord and just like David I will not be afraid for You are with me. The Voice of Truth says, "Do not be afraid."


Today I write on a new page a new chapter of this story of my life.
A chapter filled with love, hope and trust in my Maker
A chapter that will seek to glorify God in all I do
A chapter that will see me walk in the footsteps of Christ
A chapter that will see me fall but only to rise up again
A chapter that will see me try to triumph for You my King
A chapter that will see me serve with the strength that comes from God
A chapter that will see me sing a new praise song to Him who is worthy
A chapter that will all about You, my Lord

The Voice of Truth says, 'This is for My Glory" May I shine for Jesus..the Voice of Truth

So today I pray begin this day with me and all my friends Dear Lord Jesus.
